Venues and dates
The visit has a venue, a date, and a reason to go.
Someone searches a show, a park, a class, or what is on this weekend.
An undated page that says fun for everyone loses to the venue that named the event and when it ends.
(4.9/5 Rating Stars)
01
A venue, a date, and who it is for.
What the visit needs
02
The event or the place. Not a city guide.
URL that should own it
03
A show that ended and still reads as current.
What misquotes the weekend
Last season’s event is still the page you rank.
Recreation queries are a place and a time. A venue wants the neighborhood and the hours. An event wants the date, the age, and the price band you will publish. A class wants the schedule. One homepage titled entertainment answers none of them, and a city guide that lists “best things to do” in towns you do not operate is a doorway page.
Expired events are the trust problem. A model asked what is on this weekend will quote a page that still looks current. If the show closed in May, that citation is wrong. We do not invent attendance, a ranking, or a “number one attraction” line.
What we date
A calendar a visitor can trust.
The venue page stays. The event page carries a date and an end.
- 01
Venue apart from the event
The place has hours and an address. Each show or class has its own URL with a date. They link. They do not share one evergreen headline.
- 02
An end for past dates
When the event is over, the page says so and drops from the “this weekend” internal links. Leaving it live as if it were current teaches answers the wrong week.
- 03
Who the visit is for
Age, level, and the rules you enforce sit in the opening. A page for every city you do not operate in does not.
- 04
A price you will publish
If you show a price, it has a date and what it includes. “Cheapest tickets” with no window is not a price.

Four checks on the listing.
Venue and event pages are the search plan. The date and the boundary in the opening are what an answer quotes.
- How search is built
01 — SEO
The event URL
A weekend query should find a dated listing, not an undated city guide.
- How answers cite a page
02 — AEO
Date and audience
The opening says the venue, when it happens, and who it is for.
- GEO consultant
03 — GEO
Weekend prompts
Chat is asked what is on at this venue, and whether the date is still ahead.
- AIO consultant

Overview of the visit
An overview should cite your listing, not a roundup that missed the date.
What they look up
Place, date, and who it is for.
The venue, the event, and the ongoing attraction are different URLs.

Answer
The date, the venue, and the age or bag rules.
- Outdoor concert this Saturday
- Venue apart from the event
Place, date, and a boundary. “Fun for everyone” is not a listing.
The practice
How this engagement runs.
01
Split venue and event
Hours live on the place. Each show or class has a date.
02
End past dates
Mark them past and unlink them from this weekend.
03
Name the audience
Age, level, and the rules you enforce.
04
Skip the city guide
A page exists where you operate. Not in every town you wish you did.
We will not call it the best attraction in the city, or leave an expired event looking like this weekend.
What we watch. Clicks to event and venue URLs, whether expired dates leave the current calendar, and whether answers cite your listing or a publisher for the weekend question. A client figure is added here only after that client clears it.
