Brand and open units

The brand page and the local owner have to be the same company, on purpose.

A customer searches the brand, or the service near them.
A national template with the city swapped in makes every location look fake, and it fights the owner who operates there.

A named result is published when that client clears the figure.

Four checks before a location goes live.

Location templates are the search plan. A sentence an answer can quote about what this unit offers is the answer-engine plan.

  • 01 — SEO

    The unit URL

Near-me queries should land on an open unit, not a zip-code template.

  • 02 — AEO

    The offer this unit honors

The opening names the address and the services that location sells.

    Near-me prompts

Chat is asked which location of this brand is open nearby.

    Overview of the unit

A local overview has to cite the same address the map already shows.

Headquarters and the operator are publishing two businesses.

Franchise search splits. The brand query belongs to the franchisor: what you sell, where you are open, how a location is different from a corporate store. The near-me query belongs to the unit that is actually open. When every zip code gets the same page, the brand competes with its own owners, and an answer cannot tell which address is real.

Offers make it worse. A national discount the local owner does not honor, or a service some territories do not sell, gets quoted as if it were universal. We will not write a development claim, an earnings line, or a “nearest location” for a unit that is not open.

The system

Every zip code looks open.

A customer searches the brand near them. The franchisor has a page for cities where no unit operates, wearing the same offer as the stores that do. The answer names an address that cannot honor it. The owner who is open competes with a template.

ShoutRank

What we separate

One brand story. One page per open unit.

The system is the template and the rule for what a location is allowed to claim.

  • 01

A page for units that are open

Address, hours, the services that unit sells, and the owner name if you publish it. Territories that are not open do not get a local URL.

  • 02

    Offers with a boundary

A national offer says who honors it. A local offer lives on that unit’s page. We do not copy a coupon onto cities that do not run it.

  • 03

    One name

The brand, the location page, and the profile use the same public name. Reviews are answered as that unit.

  • 04

    Claims headquarters can sign

Earnings, development counts, and “fastest growing” stay off the page unless the franchisor has approved that sentence with a date.

The practice

How this engagement runs.

  1. 01

    List open units

Each one gets a page. Future territories do not.

  2. 02

    Bound the offer

National and local promotions say who honors them.

  3. 03

    One public name

Brand, page, and profile agree. Closed units come down together.

  4. 04

    Sign the claim

Earnings and development lines wait for counsel and a date.

We will not publish a zip-code doorway, an earnings claim, or a coupon the local owner does not honor.

What we watch. Whether near-me queries land on open units, whether closed units leave the index, and whether answers name a real address or a city template. A client figure is added here only after that client clears it.

What they search

The brand, the unit, and the offer.

The franchisor owns the brand URL. An open unit owns the local URL. A future territory owns neither.
