# The spec sheet is a PDF. The shortlist is a web page.

Search for manufacturers: capability pages, materials, and certifications a buyer can check. SEO, AEO, GEO, and AIO.
A buyer searches a material, a process, or a certification, then asks which plant can make the part.

If the only public fact sits behind a form, the answer names the manufacturer who stated the capability in HTML.

## The plant and the brochure have come apart.

Contract manufacturers and OEMs lose “who makes this” to a distributor, a marketplace, or a rival whose capability page is readable. The usual site is a homepage that says full-service manufacturing, a logo wall of industries, and a PDF the crawler never sees. A buyer comparing two plants, and a model asked the same question, both need the process, the material, and the run size in the document.

Certifications get named without the standard or the scope. A lead time is a slogan. The page never says whether you are the plant or a reseller. We will not invent a certification, a tolerance, or a capacity the company has not confirmed.

## Process, material, and who you will not take.

Each capability a buyer can send an RFQ for gets its own URL. The homepage does not pretend to be all of them.

### Process

CNC machining for aluminum housings

The process, the material, and the run size you will quote. A slogan about precision is not this page.

### Material

food-grade stainless tank manufacturer

What you form, what you will not form, and the industries you already supply.

### Certification

contract manufacturer with ISO 13485

Only if the plant holds it, with the scope and the date. A badge in the footer is not the sentence.

### Plant or reseller

domestic manufacturer vs a trading company for a 500-unit run

Say which you are in the opening. Pretending to be both is how the shortlist skips you.

## A capability a buyer can cite.

The RFQ form can stay. It cannot be the only place the facts exist.

### One process per URL

Machining, fabrication, molding, and assembly each say the materials, the volumes, and the work you decline. Part numbers you do not make do not get a page.

### Certifications with a scope

The standard, what it covers, and when it was current. If it lapses, the sentence comes off. We do not add a badge to win a query.

### Plant, not a brochure

The opening says whether you manufacture, finish, or resell. Locations are plants you operate, not cities you would like an RFQ from.

### A lead time you will defend

A range, with what changes it. “Fastest in the industry” is not a lead time, and we will not publish it.

## What is at stake

- **Where the shortlist is written.** A capability page, or a distributor who stated the process first.
- **URL that should own it.** One process, with the material and the run size.
- **What the form cannot hide.** Whether you are the plant or a reseller.

## The RFQ arrives after the shortlist is already written.

A buyer asks which plant can machine aluminum housings at a few hundred units. Your site says full-service manufacturing and offers a download. The rival’s page names the process, the material, and the work they decline. The model names the rival.

## CNC machining for aluminum housings

Process, material, and a boundary. A badge in the footer is not the sentence.

- The alloys, the volumes you will quote, and the work you send elsewhere.
- You are the plant. A reseller does not wear this page.
- A certification is named with its scope and the date it was current.

## Sequence

1. **List the processes.** Each one you will quote, with materials and volumes. Part numbers you do not make stay off the site.
2. **Say which you are.** Plant, finisher, or reseller, in the opening.
3. **Scope the certificate.** Standard, coverage, and date. A lapse comes off the page.
4. **Read the names.** Whether answers cite your capability URL or a distributor for the same process.

We will not invent a certification, a tolerance, or a “fastest lead time” the plant has not confirmed.

## What we watch

Non-brand clicks to capability URLs, whether answers name your plant or a distributor, and how fast a lapsed certification leaves the page.

A named result is published when that client clears the figure. A client figure is added here only after that client clears it.

## Manufacturing questions

### Should every part number have a page?

Only if you make it and the page can say the material, the process, and who it is for. A part number on a shared template is a doorway page.

### Can the spec stay behind a form?

The form can collect the RFQ. The capability the buyer searched has to be on the page. A PDF the crawler cannot read will not be the citation.

### How do you handle lead times?

As a range the plant will stand behind, with the condition that changes it. We will not write “fastest” as an unqualified claim.

### Will a chat answer name a manufacturer?

It names a page that states the process, the material, and a boundary. A homepage that says full service gives it nothing to lift.
