# Quote intent still needs the exclusion.

Search for insurance: comparison queries, quote intent, coverage, and exclusions. SEO, AEO, GEO, and AIO.
People search a price, then ask what the policy leaves out.

A form with no coverage page hands both questions to an aggregator.

## The aggregator owns “cheap.” You can own the coverage.

Auto, home, life, and commercial lines are comparison markets. Head terms like cheapest insurance are crowded by aggregators who will take the click and sell it back. The queries a carrier or an agency can still deserve are specific: what changes a landlord policy’s price, whether water backup is included, how a quote differs for a rented condo. Those pages have to match the form. A quote widget on a page that never states an exclusion is how shoppers, and models, go back to the aggregator’s table.

Carriers and agencies are different entities. A page that blends “we underwrite” and “we shop the market” confuses the query and the compliance team. Figures, if you publish them, need a date and a profile of the customer they describe. “Lowest rate” with no profile is a claim we will not put in a title.

## A coverage, a situation, a quote.

Quote pages start the form. Coverage pages explain the policy. They link, and they do not share one vague URL.

### Quote

The form matches the situation in the H1. Fields you ask for should be the ones that change the price.

### Exclusion

does homeowners insurance cover water backup

Yes, no, or only with an endorsement, in the language your filed forms allow. The answer is in HTML, not only inside the quote flow.

### Price shape

what changes the cost of a commercial auto policy

The factors, not a teaser rate. If you show a sample premium, it has a customer profile and a date.

### Carrier or agency

independent agency vs buying from one carrier

Say which you are. A model that cannot tell will describe you as the wrong kind of company.

## Coverage, exclusion, then the form.

We write the pages the quote tool has been doing the work of, badly.

### Coverage URLs

Each line you want found has a page: what it includes, the exclusion people misunderstand, and who it is a poor product for. Filed-form language wins over a metaphor.

### Quote pages with a situation

The URL names the customer and the line. The form is the next step, not the only sentence on the page.

### No naked “lowest rate”

Sample prices, if approved, carry the profile and the date. Titles do not promise the cheapest policy in the market.

### Entity clarity

Carrier, agency, and MGA are named as what they are. The same brand does not claim to underwrite on one URL and to be an unaffiliated shopper on the next without saying so.

## What is at stake

- **Who owns “cheap”.** Aggregators. They can keep the one-word price query.
- **URL that should own it.** A coverage page that states the exclusion, then offers the quote.
- **What the form hides.** The situation, the price factors, and what the policy leaves out.

## The quote tool is doing the work of a page, badly.

Shoppers ask what changes a landlord premium and whether water backup is included. If the only URL is a form, the overview cites an aggregator’s table. Carriers and agencies also get blended into one voice, so the answer describes the wrong kind of company.

## Landlord insurance for a single rental

If a sample premium appears, it has a customer profile and a date. The title does not say “lowest rate.”

- Who the policy is for, and the facts that move the price.
- Water backup: included, excluded, or only with an endorsement, in the language the filed form allows.
- The quote form is the next step. It is not the only sentence on the page.

## Sequence

1. **Split coverage from quote.** Explanation and the form are different URLs that link. One vague page does not do both.
2. **Say which you are.** Carrier, agency, or MGA, in the opening. The calls to action match that fact.
3. **Lead with the surprise.** The exclusion people misunderstand is early, in plain language, not after the lead form.
4. **Date any premium.** Sample prices wait for a reviewer. A rival’s premium leaves when the source goes stale.

We will not promise the cheapest policy in a title, or hide an exclusion until after someone has submitted a form.

## What we watch

Quote-start rate from coverage URLs, impressions on exclusion queries, and whether answers describe your coverage or send the reader to an aggregator’s table.

A named result is published when that client clears the figure. A client figure is added here only after that client clears it.

## Insurance questions

### Can we rank for “cheap insurance”?

Sometimes on a narrow line, rarely on the head term, and we will not promise the head term. The pages we build answer a situation and a coverage. Aggregators can keep the one-word price query.

### What belongs on a quote page besides the form?

Who the quote is for, which facts change the price, and the exclusion that most often surprises that customer. A form alone is a tool, not an answer.

### How do we talk about exclusions without losing the quote?

In the same plain language the policy uses, early on the page. Hiding an exclusion until after the lead form is how trust breaks, and how a quoted answer becomes wrong.

### Are we writing for a carrier or an agency?

Whichever you are, stated on the page. The internal links, the calls to action, and the comparisons change with that fact. We do not write one template and hope compliance does not notice.

### Can comparison tables include other carriers’ prices?

Only with a source, a date, and a reviewer who accepts the cell. When the source goes stale, the cell goes. We do not freeze a competitor’s premium because it makes yours look low.
