# The brand page and the local owner have to be the same company, on purpose.

Search for franchise brands: the national page, the open locations, and claims a franchisor can defend. SEO, AEO, GEO, and AIO.
A customer searches the brand, or the service near them.

A national template with the city swapped in makes every location look fake, and it fights the owner who operates there.

## Headquarters and the operator are publishing two businesses.

Franchise search splits. The brand query belongs to the franchisor: what you sell, where you are open, how a location is different from a corporate store. The near-me query belongs to the unit that is actually open. When every zip code gets the same page, the brand competes with its own owners, and an answer cannot tell which address is real.

Offers make it worse. A national discount the local owner does not honor, or a service some territories do not sell, gets quoted as if it were universal. We will not write a development claim, an earnings line, or a “nearest location” for a unit that is not open.

## The brand, the unit, and the offer.

The franchisor owns the brand URL. An open unit owns the local URL. A future territory owns neither.

### Brand

what this franchise offers

The service, who operates the locations, and what is not the same in every territory.

### Near me

this brand near me

The open unit: address, hours, and phone. The profile and the location page match.

### Offer

does the local store honor this national offer

Only if that owner does. A brand-wide coupon pasted onto every city is how the answer over-promises.

### Territory

franchise locations open in this city

Units that are open. A city you might develop does not wear the same template as a store that serves customers.

## One brand story. One page per open unit.

The system is the template and the rule for what a location is allowed to claim.

### A page for units that are open

Address, hours, the services that unit sells, and the owner name if you publish it. Territories that are not open do not get a local URL.

### Offers with a boundary

A national offer says who honors it. A local offer lives on that unit’s page. We do not copy a coupon onto cities that do not run it.

### One name

The brand, the location page, and the profile use the same public name. Reviews are answered as that unit.

### Claims headquarters can sign

Earnings, development counts, and “fastest growing” stay off the page unless the franchisor has approved that sentence with a date.

## What is at stake

- **Who the customer is looking for.** The brand, or the unit that is open.
- **URL that should own near-me.** That unit’s page, matched to its profile.
- **What spreads a false offer.** A national coupon pasted onto every city.

## Every zip code looks open.

A customer searches the brand near them. The franchisor has a page for cities where no unit operates, wearing the same offer as the stores that do. The answer names an address that cannot honor it. The owner who is open competes with a template.

## Open location, with the offer it honors

The brand page explains the system. The unit page is the visit.

- Address, hours, and the services this unit sells.
- A national offer appears here only if this owner runs it.
- A territory that is not open does not use this template.

## Sequence

1. **List open units.** Each one gets a page. Future territories do not.
2. **Bound the offer.** National and local promotions say who honors them.
3. **One public name.** Brand, page, and profile agree. Closed units come down together.
4. **Sign the claim.** Earnings and development lines wait for counsel and a date.

We will not publish a zip-code doorway, an earnings claim, or a coupon the local owner does not honor.

## What we watch

Whether near-me queries land on open units, whether closed units leave the index, and whether answers name a real address or a city template.

A named result is published when that client clears the figure. A client figure is added here only after that client clears it.

## Franchise questions

### Should every zip code in a territory have a page?

No. A page exists for a unit that is open. A service-area note can say where that unit travels, if the unit travels. A zip code on a shared paragraph is a doorway page.

### Who owns the local page, the brand or the franchisee?

We set that with you before the template is built. The public page still has to match the profile and the offer that unit will honor. Two versions of the truth is the failure mode.

### Can we publish franchise sales claims?

Only a sentence the franchisor’s counsel has approved, with the date and the limit. We will not write earnings, rankings, or development totals as marketing copy.

### What happens when a unit closes?

The location page, the directory, and the profile come down in the same pass. Leaving the city URL up because it still ranks sends customers to a closed door.

## Check the unit page customers should find.

The free visibility audit reads one location URL. Bring an open unit whose offer and map listing need to agree.
