# A rate without a date is a claim you cannot keep.

Search for fintech and financial services: YMYL comparisons, regulated claims, fees, and eligibility. SEO, AEO, GEO, and AIO.
People compare accounts, cards, and treasury tools on fees and who qualifies.

An undated “highest yield” line is a compliance problem and still loses the citation to the site that showed the condition.

## Comparison content in a regulated category has two readers.

A prospect and a reviewer both land on the same URL. The prospect wants the fee, the yield, the eligibility, and how you differ from the account they have. The reviewer needs the date, the assumption, the license, and the sentence you are willing to defend. Pages that say “best business bank account” with none of that get outrun by a publisher who printed the table, and they put the company on the hook for a claim.

Products also change by state and by customer type. One national page that implies every visitor can open the account is how a comparison becomes misleading. We write the limit into the page. We do not write around the disclosure.

## Fee, eligibility, and the other product.

Each product a person can actually open gets facts in HTML. The blog does not carry the rate.

### Fees

business checking account fees

The fee table, what triggers it, and the date it was checked. A footnote that contradicts the H1 is not a disclosure.

### Eligibility

who can open a high-yield account in Texas

Entity type, residency, and what you cannot offer. Silence reads as “everyone.”

### Versus

neobank vs a credit union for payroll

A comparison you can source. If you cannot name a rival’s current fee, describe the difference without inventing their number.

### Safety

is this account insured

The institution, the coverage type, and the limit you are allowed to state. No metaphor in place of the fact.

## Dated facts, reviewed before they go live.

Marketing drafts the explanation. The owner of the claim signs the number.

### A date on every figure

Rates, APYs, and fees show when they were true and under what condition. When the number changes, the page changes or the number comes off.

### Eligibility in the opening

Who the product is for, and the states or customer types it is not for, sit where a reader and a model will see them. Not only in a PDF.

### Review before publish

A named reviewer inside the company approves regulated lines. We do not ship a comparison that skipped that pass because the keyword was trending.

### Comparisons with a source

If a table cites another institution, it cites a date and a source. If the source is gone, the cell is removed. We do not freeze a rival’s old fee because it flatters you.

## Cited domains

stripe.com is the most cited domain in Fintech in this snapshot.

This data is accumulated from multiple sources and internal training data, which helps us get the client cited.

| Domain | AI Overview | ChatGPT | Gemini | AI Mode | Perplexity |
| --- | ---: | ---: | ---: | ---: | ---: |
| stripe.com | 1 | 78 | — | — | — |
| squareup.com | 1 | 75 | — | — | — |
| reddit.com | 0 | 116 | — | — | — |
| forbes.com | 1 | 56 | — | — | — |
| nerdwallet.com | 0 | 104 | — | — | — |
| paypal.com | 1 | 49 | — | — | — |
| irs.gov | 0 | 62 | — | — | — |
| en.wikipedia.org | 0 | 61 | — | — | — |

| airwallex.com | 1 | 0 | — | — | — |
| amasty.com | 1 | 0 | — | — | — |
| helcim.com | 1 | 0 | — | — | — |

A dash means this snapshot has no count for that engine. A zero means the domain was not cited in the measured sample.

## What is at stake

- **Who reads the same URL.** A prospect comparing fees, and a reviewer who has to defend the sentence.
- **URL that should own it.** The product page, with the date and the eligibility in the opening.
- **What goes stale.** A rate, an APY, or a rival’s fee left up after the number changed.

## “Highest yield” without a condition is both a miss and a claim.

Publishers win the comparison because they printed the table, the date, and who qualifies. A product page that skips those facts loses the citation and leaves the company holding a line it cannot keep. State rules make one national “everyone can open this” page worse.

## Business checking, fees as of this month

The number and the condition travel together. The blog does not carry the rate.

- The monthly fee, what triggers it, and the date the table was checked.
- Eligible entity types and the states where the account is not offered. Silence is not “everyone.”
- Insurance, if you state it, names the institution, the type, and the limit you are allowed to say.

## Sequence

1. **Put figures on the product.** Rates and fees live on the URL for that account, with a date. Posts do not become the source of the number.
2. **Write the limit.** Who cannot open it, and where, sits in the opening. The form is not the first time a visitor learns.
3. **Wait for sign-off.** The person compliance names approves regulated lines. A finished draft is not permission.
4. **Pull the stale cell.** When a source or a rate expires, the cell comes off. A flattering old competitor fee does not stay.

We will not title a page “best account” with no date, no criteria, and no statement of who should not open it.

## What we watch

Whether product URLs, not the blog, earn the comparison queries, and whether any live page still shows a rate past the date the reviewer set.

A named result is published when that client clears the figure. A client figure is added here only after that client clears it.

## Fintech questions

### Can we target “best account” queries?

We can target the comparison if the page shows criteria, a date, and who should not open the account. We will not publish “best” as an unqualified claim about a regulated product.

### How current do rates need to be?

Current enough that the date on the page is still honest. The operating rule is set with your reviewer: what stale means, and who unpublishes the number.

### What if an affiliate site already owns the query?

They often will on the head term. The page you can own states your product’s facts cleanly enough that the affiliate, and the model, have to quote you to stay accurate. We do not promise to outrank a national table on a generic “best” query.

### Who signs off?

Whoever your compliance or legal team names. A page does not go live on a regulated claim because an editor finished the draft.

### What about products we cannot offer in some states?

The page says so. Hiding the limit and letting a form fail later is how the copy becomes misleading. We write the boundary in the opening.

## Audit the product page that states a number.

The free visibility audit checks whether that URL can be fetched and whether the opening is quotable. Your reviewer still owns the claim.
