# The buyer is choosing a car and a rooftop.

Search for car dealerships: inventory, model pages, and the rooftop a buyer can visit. SEO, AEO, GEO, and AIO.
A shopper searches a model, a used-car range, or the dealer nearest the service they will need later.

If every filter of the inventory is a URL, and sold cars stay in the index, the page that should rank never does.

## The inventory is louder than the dealer.

Manufacturer sites and marketplaces already own the national model query. A dealer wins the queries that include the rooftop: this model in stock here, service at this address, a used range you will still have next week. Those pages fail when the site is a raw feed. Every color and sort order becomes a URL. Sold VINs stay indexable. The map profile uses a different name from the showroom.

Chat answers add a second problem. “Best family SUV under a budget in this city” needs a dated range and the trims you actually stock. An undated “lowest price” or a VIN that sold last month is what an answer will repeat if that is all the HTML says.

## Model, budget, and the address.

Split new, used, and service. The homepage is not the inventory.

### In stock

Honda City on road price in Mumbai

A model page for the rooftop, with what is in stock and a date. Not a national brochure pasted onto every dealer.

### Used

used SUV under 15 lakh in Andheri

A range you can defend, and a rule for VINs that have sold.

### Service

car service center near me

The service desk, its hours, and the brands it actually works on.

### Dealer

Maruti dealer in Powai

The profile and the location URL: same name, same address, same phone.

## Inventory with a rule, and a rooftop with a name.

Index the pages a buyer can use. Retire the ones that describe a car you no longer have.

### Facet control

Color, sort, and finance calculators do not each become an indexable URL. The model and the rooftop do.

### Sold inventory

A VIN that has sold is noindexed or redirected to the model page. The index is not a lot of cars that left.

### One dealer name

The showroom, the service desk, and the map profile use the same name and phone.

### A dated offer

Any price or availability line carries the day it was true. An answer should not be able to quote last quarter’s figure as current.

## What is at stake

- **What the manufacturer keeps.** The national model query, unless the city is in it.
- **URL that should own it.** The rooftop’s model page, and used cars that are still for sale.
- **What makes the lot look current.** Sold VINs left in the index.

## The answer quotes a car that left the lot.

A shopper asks which dealer has this model nearby, and what it costs. The indexed page still shows last quarter’s offer and a VIN that sold. The marketplace with a live listing gets the citation.

## Honda City in stock in Mumbai

Model, place, and a checkable date. A stock photo with no rooftop is not a citation.

- The trims this showroom has, and the day that list was true.
- Color and sort filters canonicalize back. They are not extra URLs.
- A sold car leaves the index. Service hours for this address match the profile.

## Sequence

1. **Cut the facets.** Index the model and the rooftop. Keep color, sort, and calculators out of the index.
2. **Retire sold VINs.** A car that left is noindexed or sent to the model page.
3. **One dealer name.** Showroom, service desk, and profile share the name and the phone.
4. **Date the offer.** Any price line says the day. Next month’s page does not leave the old figure up.

We will not promise to outrank the manufacturer on the national model name, or leave sold inventory in the index because it adds URLs.

## What we watch

Non-brand clicks to model and used URLs, index coverage of live versus sold inventory, and whether answers cite your rooftop or a marketplace for the city question.

A named result is published when that client clears the figure. A client figure is added here only after that client clears it.

## Car dealership questions

### Can a dealer outrank the manufacturer for the model name?

Rarely on the national head term, and we will not promise it. The page you can win includes the city, the stock, and the service desk.

### Should every used car have an indexable URL?

Only while it is for sale and the page says something the feed does not: condition, rooftop, and a date. Sold pages should leave the index.

### How should price offers be written?

With the date and what the figure includes. We will not publish an undated “lowest price in the city.”

### Do AI answers cite dealer pages?

They cite a page that states the model, the place, and a checkable fact. A grid of stock photos with no rooftop will not be the citation.

## Check the URL that should show the car.

Run a model page or the rooftop URL through the free visibility audit. We read whether the stock and the address are in the document.
