# Blogger outreach

Blogger outreach from ShoutRank. Contact relevant independent publishers because the page fits their beat. No bulk mail, no paid disguise.
Blogger outreach contacts independent publishers who already write about the problem. Each note has a reason that is specific to their page.

Independent sites, newsletters, and specialist blogs still explain categories that trade press ignores. They also receive a lot of identical email. The work is reading enough to know whether your page belongs in their world.

Bulk sequences, scraped author lists, and “quick question” templates are not this service. A labeled sponsorship is advertising. An editorial mention has to be their choice.

ShoutRank does not guarantee a ranking or a citation.

## The problem

### The list was bought.

Thousands of addresses, no memory of what they write. The replies are hostile, and the domain’s reputation follows.

### The blogger is asked to pretend.

A free product in exchange for a review that reads like journalism. Readers notice. So do policies.

### Outreach ignores the writer’s last ten posts.

The pitch could have been sent to anyone. It gets deleted, correctly.

## How ShoutRank approaches it

We read recent work and write a note that could only go to that person: a page of theirs, a gap, and a source of yours that fills it. If we cannot write that note, we do not send one.

We do not offer payment for an unlabeled post. Product access, if relevant, is disclosed in the ask.

## What the work includes

### Short list

Publishers whose recent work overlaps the buyer.

### Notes

The actual email, specific to the page.

### Replies

Yes, no, and silence, counted separately.

### Mentions

What they chose to publish, in their words.

## Process

### Discovery

Define the beat in a sentence a writer would recognize.

### Audit

Read candidates. Cut anyone whose work does not overlap.

### Strategy

Write individual notes. No merge fields pretending to be personal.

### Implementation

Send a small batch. Stop if the replies say the fit is wrong.

### Monitoring

Record what they published, including posts that mention you and do not link.

### Optimization

Thank them and leave. Do not automate a follow-up sequence.

### Reporting

The list, the replies, and the posts.

## Why ShoutRank

### Small lists

A list we have read is the product. A large list is how outreach becomes spam.

### Disclosure

If something of value changed hands, the post should say so, and our report will.

### Their words

We do not script a review. We offer a source.

## How success is measured

Notes sent, against publishers actually read.

Replies that show the fit was real.

Posts published, with or without a link, accurately described.

A named client result is published when that client clears the figure. Until then the report is the measurement.

## Questions

### How many emails do you send?

As many as we can make specific. If the number is the goal, the notes get worse. We would rather report a small, read list.

### Do you use outreach software?

Sending mail is fine. Pretending a template is a personal note is not. We do not hide sequences behind a writer’s name.

### What if they want to be paid?

Then it is a sponsorship, it should be labeled, and it is not an earned mention in this report.
